The origin of company name

Before and during World War I, we provided fire extinguishers and fire extinguishing agents to the Imperial Japanese Navy, and then later changed our company name to YAMATO SHOKAKI CO., LTD. in 1963. Since then, we have developed a wide range of fire prevention devices, such as the dry chemical ABC extinguisher, along with fire prevention systems for the protection of office buildings and plants. We have operated not only Japan, but also in numerous countries in Asia and the Middle East. In 1989, aspiring to rise in the global scene, we changed our company name to YAMATO PROTEC CORPORATION. PROTEC is a coinage created from the words PROFESSIONAL, PROTECTION, PROPOSAL, and TECHNOLOGY.
